Hi, as per my practical experience Delivery trade is more expensive than daily trades. In daily trades brokerage Rs.10/1lack, then STT only Rs.25/1lac only on sales side, then taxes & other charges. But in delivery brokerage Rs.100/1lac, then STT 100/1lac in both side, then taxes n other charges. So which 1 is more expensive ? Can u explain...

      Hello Ms Rashmi,

      This can surely be explained.

In case of delivery based orders, you tend to invest in companies that have the potential to grow based on their fundamentals. In such companies i.e. consider our recent recommendations:
      - Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertilisers Limited
      - Shemaroo Entertainment Limited
      - Control Print Limited
      - Astec Lifesciences Limited
(you can goto this page (click here) for more names).

you would see that the average holding period ranged from a minimum of 90 days to maybe 250 days or more. Thus, even if we consider the lower limit of 90 days, all you have to do is buy on day 1 and sell on day 90 i.e. just two trades and you appreciate your wealth by an average 50-75%.

But on the other hand, when you trade intraday for 90 consecutive days, not only the chances of you making such high profits are negligible, but you end up paying a hell lot of brokerage.

      Eg:

For Delivery Buying + Selling: Rs. 100/1 Lakh + Rs. 100/1 Lakh
      Total Rs. 200/ 1 Lakh

      For 90 day Intraday Trading, Buying + Selling: (Rs. 10/1 Lakh x 90) + (Rs. 25/1 Lakh x 90)
      Total Rs. 3150/ 1 Lakh

Hope your query has been solved. In case you have any more queries, feel free to comment here, we will be happy to solve it.

      Happy Investing!
