Commodity Check

Brent crude prices moved back above $101 per barrel on Thursday, October 8, reversing the previous session’s decline as reports of potential US military action against Iran revived concerns over disruptions to Middle East oil supplies. Brent was last trading at $101.16 per barrel, up 0.96%, after settling at $100.20 in the previous session. The latest move followed reports that the Trump administration had instructed the Pentagon to develop potential strike options against Iran that could be implemented before the US midterm elections. Any further escalation could increase uncertainty around regional oil flows and keep crude prices elevated.
